Lost sock photo

Here is the photo of the socks I finished for myself last week. It is the first pair of long socks I have done. Why are my socks always too large? I used the same wool as for Steve’s Christmas sweater.

About OneFrenchWord

I was a professional linguist and have been a life-long foodie. I am now lucky enough to be retired and free to roam the beaches around my home at the tip of the Finistère (Brittany, France). Writing is occupying a larger place in my life, with this blog and a children's book in preparation. I shall feel much happier calling myself a writer when I have published a book. And so posts on OneFrenchWord will be published first as an e-book, my ambition being to see a glossy volume on French language and cuisine in print some day. So keep reading, and snap up the book when it appears!

They may be too long, but they sure look toasty-warm! My girlfriend is a knitter, I am suggesting she read your blog also (she’s got a food blog here called BetweenTheTines) and perhaps you two can exchange some knitting knowledge… 🙂

They are warm but since we are having the warmest winter on record, I could go barefoot most of the time! I’ve been and had a look at Between the Tines, and would love to share knitting tips with your girlfriend, here or on private email which is on my blog somewhere.

Yes indeed, they do look toasty. You never know, you may be glad of them sooner than you think.
